Peritonitis Signs, Symptoms and Causes

There are certain complications a patient diagnosed with peritonitis may expect. In case of late treatment, the infection enters the bloodstream. It may lead to the suffering of the rest of the organism. In rare cases, the situation may end up with the death of the patient. Less severe but yet dangerous complications involve the loss of brain function, the inability of the liver to eliminate toxic substances, a kidney failure, a serious reaction called sepsis (a response to the bloodstream being attacked by the dangerous bacteria).
