Tendonitis Symptoms and Signs

Associated with an excessive leap. One of the frequent symptoms of damaged muscle is so called patellar tendonitis. It often happens with athletes or young physically dynamic people. This disease is more known as the “jumper’s knee”. The “jumper’s knee” is the term that means the inflammation of the patellar ligament at the point of attachment to the patella, but an inflammatory process can also occur in the lower part of the ligament, at the point of attachment to the tuberosity of the tibia. Chronic load or even overload of the patellar ligament is one major cause of patellar tendonitis and can lead to the appearance of micro-ruptures, inflammation and, accordingly, pain.
